In collaboration with Secretariat of All-China Youth Federation, Secretariat of All-China Students’ Federation, All-China Financial Youth Federation and The Office of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China in Beijing (HKBJO), we organized “Hong Kong Students in Beijing Mentorship Program”(hereafter the “program”). As the number of Hong Kong student who study in Mainland China become significant, especially those study in Beijing, there is a need to care about this group of students. The program’s mission is to enhance the competitiveness of participants by encouraging them to connect with the experienced financial professionals, seeking constructive advice on academic and career development from mentors, assisting them to equip themselves for the future.
The program was launched in 2016, in accordance with the Strategic Partnerships Agreement signed between Fin Society and All-China Financial Youth Federation. The one-year-term program matches up experienced financial experts with students, encourages them to have face-to-face meet up once a month.
In the last two years, more than 30 students have been selected from various top institutions, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Central University of Finance and Economics, Beijing Normal University, University of International Business and Economics, Beijing Foreign Studies University and Beijing Language and Culture University. We helped pairing participants with mentors by taking their interest, professional background and career plan into consideration.
